A Huge Thank You to Ride For World Health!
This past week we received a donation check in the mail from Ride for World Health (R4WH) to support public sanitation programs in Haiti. R4WH is a committed group of public health advocates who traveled from San Diego to Washington, D.C. by bike to raise awareness and funds for fighting global public health disparities.
Their contribution is a critical boost of support for SOIL’s public toilets which continue to provide safe, dignified emergency sanitation services to a population of over 5,500 people still homeless after the 2010 earthquake in Port-au-Prince and to an additional 2,000 people in the the Shada neighborhood of Cap-Haitien, where cholera has been particularly widespread.
Please join us in sending them an enormous thank you for their generosity and strength!
