Invitation: Official Launch of the Household Toilet Project in Shada, Cap-Haitien
The SOIL team is pleased to announce the official launch celebration for the Household Toilet Project in Cap-Haitien, Haiti!
Please join us in Shada, Cap-Haitien on Friday, December 7th starting at 10am and join in the festivities!
This event marks the official kickoff of a long anticipated pilot project that will bring SOIL toilets into the homes of hundreds of families in Shada, one of the poorest neighborhoods in northern Haiti, and will test and refine an innovative new social business model for providing household sanitation in urban communities.
We hope that you will come join us in thanking our brilliant, dedicated and tireless staff, our amazing partners at Re.Source Sanitation, Konbit Sante and KOSS, our supporters at Grand Challenges Canada and the 11th Hour Project, and all our friends and supporters around the world who have pushed to make this project possible.

About SOIL
SOIL has been working in some of the poorest areas in Haiti since 2006 to facilitate the community-identified priority of ecological sanitation (EcoSan), where human wastes are converted into valuable compost. EcoSan simultaneously tackles some of Haiti’s toughest challenges: providing improved sanitation to people who would otherwise have no access to a toilet while at the same time producing rich, organic compost which is critical for agriculture and reforestation.
