Samba for SOIL
In the wake of Hurricane Matthew, many dear friends reached out to SOIL about the best way to help, and we were so honored to see support pour in from all corners of the globe. Several of our friends even got creative in raising funds for hurricane relief - including our dear friend Berta from the Arco Iris Samba Band in Cambridge, England. The Arco Iris Samba band came together to play throughout Cambridge and raise funds for SOIL's hurricane relief effort. Check out a video of their performance and dance along if the mood strikes. Sincere thanks to the Arco Iris Samba ...
The Panther: Improv Inc. Uses Humor to Raise Money for Haiti
The SOIL team was thrilled to hear that a Chapman University improv comedy troupe called "Improv Inc" was inspired to raise funds in support of Hurricane Matthew relief work by making people laugh! Proceeds from the troupe's most recent show on the Chapman campus in southern California were donated to SOIL - and we are honored to have been selected as the recipient of Improv Inc's generosity. To learn a bit more about the troupe and the inspiration behind the benefit show, read this article from The Panther, Chapman University's newspaper.

SOIL Logo Crosses the Globe
As we shared a few months ago, SOIL friends and supporters Drew and Scott Gurian have spent the past twelve weeks accomplishing an impressive and unique feat: driving 11,000 miles through 19 countries in a tiny car. They were participating in an annual event called the Mongol Rally, and at SOIL we were honored to journey with them on the side of that very tiny car. The Gurian brothers were rallying not just for the adventure, but also to show their support for SOIL and fundraise along the way. Check out their podcast about why they chose to support SOIL, and listen to ...

Cross Country Cycle for SOIL- The Grand Finale!
On August 24 - just hours behind schedule - the now legendary Dr. John Kilbride rode the last leg of his journey accross the island of Manhattan and into Battery Park. Raising support for SOIL along the way, our favorite British physician pedaled his bike more than 4000 km, from the end of the Santa Monica Pier in Los Angeles to Battery Park New York City in just over one month's time! John battled wildfires (on day one in the Los Angeles hills), blazing desert heat (117 F in Barstow!), a road that was not a road (curses on Route 66!), pokey brambles popping his tires (who ...
Cycling Champion Nears New York!
After more than 4000 km, countless flat tires, cracked spokes, brews with new friends, and smiles along the way, our dear friend John is fast approaching New York City! First and foremost, we have to express our awe and wish John congratulations - this is quite a feat! Next, we are hoping to "grease the wheel" and make sure the final days of John's trip are as smooth and free of broken wheels as possible - to that end, please let us know (by emailing [email protected]) if you are able to help us: Welcome John as he zooms across his personal finish line and into Battery ...
Cycling for SOIL!
Dr. John Kilbride, a dear SOIL friend (and the esteemed brother-in-law of SOIL co-founder Sasha Kramer), embarks July 23 upon a 2-wheeled odyssey of federal proportions; pedaling from Santa Monica pier in LA, to Battery Park in NYC. He will be spreading the word about SOIL and our ten year anniversary to all he meets! Our grand adventuring friend is inviting all of you to join him on his journey - whether you want to pedal along for a few miles, provide water/toilet breaks along the road, or a vehicle escort through tricky urban areas (we're looking at you, New ...
