Cycling Champion Nears New York!

After more than 4000 km, countless flat tires, cracked spokes, brews with new friends, and smiles along the way, our dear friend John is fast approaching New York City! First and foremost, we have to express our awe and wish John congratulations – this is quite a feat! Next, we are hoping to “grease the wheel” and make sure the final days of John’s trip are as smooth and free of broken wheels as possible – to that end, please let us know (by emailing [email protected]) if you are able to help us:new friends

  1. Welcome John as he zooms across his personal finish line and into Battery Park tomorrow night! He will be arriving sometime between 11pm and 3am tomorrow, Wednesday, August 24, so grab an ice cream cone and have a midnight hang out at the park as you wave John across the finish line. Those of you who are hard core bikers can meet him at the George Washington Bridge and ride the final miles with him!
  2. Show your support to John’s mission of raising money for SOIL by making a last minute donation to help him cross the fundraising finish line (just $790 to go!).
  3. Help congratulate John by recording a quick video and tagging SOIL Haiti! Be sure to oblige him by wishing SOIL a Happy Anniversary, as well :-)

John stopped by to Towanda, Pa at the Red Rose Diner. An amazing man with a lot of spirit. He saw our British Flag and I guess felt like he was home in Scotland. He will be in NYC within 2 days.. God Speed John

Well done John. That’s an amazing feat. I’ve done it in the back of a band bus but you definitely take the yellow jersey.
I’m sure you’ll be glad to get back to the islands but never forget America. Drop us a line sometime when you get home.

Congratulations John! It was so great to meet you while you were resting up in Shipshawana Indiana… My son Hunter is still asking about you… I was happy to see you made the trip safe and found some more potato salad along the way :)
