(In-)Kind Gestures
There are still 104 days until Christmas, but here at SOIL, we’re hoping Santa might come early with a few items for our team (we promise that we’ve been good)!
If you’d be willing to make an in-kind donation for any of the following items, please contact [email protected] for more information:
iPhones
As Will Ferrel once said, “Before you marry a person you should first make them use a computer with slow Internet to see who they really are.” For all of you cool kids getting an iPhone 6, consider donating your old iPhone 5 to SOIL! We prefer it to be “unlocked,” which means that we can use it in Haiti, but not to worry- if it is “locked,” or if you are not sure, we can (legally!) unlock it. The phone will provide a reliable connection to the internet for emergencies and allow us to communicate all of the exciting news happening in our North Haiti office without the headache of faulty internet.
Soil Conductivity Meter
Calling all soil and compost nerds! We need a soil conductivity meter (like this one here). We want to measure the salinity of our compost so that we can better understand the optimum amount of compost to use for different types of plants. We are also interested in evaluating our overall composting process to improve the end product.
Printer Ink
As earth-lovers, we limit printing as much as possible, but ink continues to be a major expense for our offices in Haiti. Help us stock up with a few cartridges. (See the our Amazon Wishlist for specifics.)
As always, we so appreciate the support our friends provide to SOIL. We couldn’t do it without you!
Got something to say?
