SOIL Stands with Our Friends on the East Coast

Dear friends,

Just a quick update on the situation in Haiti and our fundraising efforts at SOIL. The rain from hurricane Sandy has mostly soaked into the mud and evaporated into the air, replenishing the rain that is falling on our friends along the east coast of the US today.  For all of you who are currently sheltering from the storm, know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. Please take a moment to reflect on how lucky most of you receiving this email are to have a roof over your head and food in your pantry, as I did when Hurricane Sandy rained down over Haiti last week.

I came into the office this morning at 7 to find the entire team here and bustling around readying themselves for the busy week ahead. I shared news of the outpouring of support that we received last week, and everyone was so touched.  I also shared with them that many of you will be weathering the same storm today, and the whole SOIL team will be standing in solidarity with you as you have done for us.

Finally I wanted to let you all know that we have reached $10,000 in donations since last week!  That is 50% of our goal and we are absolutely in awe at the generosity of our friends.  We are still trying to raise another $10,000 by Wednesday, so if you have not made a donation yet please consider doing so today.

You can make a donation online by filling out the form to the right.

Or you can mail a check to:
