The SOIL Farm in Cap-Haitien is Operating on 100% Solar Power
Thanks to a generous donation from the Meyer and Esther B. Mazor Foundation, the SOIL farm is now full sunny-side up, operating on 100% solar power! With the help of the plentiful and dependable Haitian sun, the 9 panels (each 40W), which are installed at the SOIL demonstration farm and nursery in northern Haiti, will be strong enough to realize our dream of 24/7 power - charging 8 batteries to power everything from lighting to refrigerator. The panels are a great addition to our smaller set of solar panels that power the water pump.
