Volunteer Opening: Database Expert

Are you a database guru? Do words like “servers,” “scripting” and “syncing” make your heart flutter?

SOIL is developing a social business model of household sanitation in Haiti. We are currently using a series of increasingly complicated Excel Sheets to manage our 500+ customers, so we are eager to get a database in place to help us more efficiently collect, manage, and analyze our data.

After a lot of research on what's already out there, we've decided that developing our own database is the best solution. We are leaning towards developing it in FileMaker Pro given that it MUST be mostly functional without internet connectivity (if you think that’s silly in this day and age, consider that one of our offices recently went more than two months without an internet connection).
