Join SOIL at the UNC Water & Health Conference in Chapel Hill
We are excited to announce SOIL’s participation in the 2025 UNC Water and Health Conference. SOIL’s Executive Director, Dr. Sasha Kramer, and Director of Research and Innovation, Maya Lubeck-Schricker, will be in attendance to showcase our ongoing efforts and progress towards accelerating universal access to safe sanitation.
This annual event attracts organizations and individuals with a commitment to improving public health by achieving universal access to safe drinking water, sanitation and hygiene (WaSH) services that are safe, affordable and sustainable. We are excited to spend the week in a space where like-minded policymakers, practitioners and researchers can review and discuss evidence, challenge assumptions, interrogate the science and improve and develop new approaches to expanding access to WaSH services.
We are excited to discuss our research into targeted sanitation subsidies utilizing the EquityTool as a significant step in identifying at-risk households that may be eligible for reduced fee options for our clients. We are also excited to join in dialogues around financing these subsidies as well as highlighting the groundbreaking climate benefits and resilience of container-based sanitation.
