On Tuesday, March 17, Sunrise Airways opened a new flight route between Boston Logan International Airport and Cap‑Haïtien. SOIL’s Executive Director, Sasha Kramer, was aboard one of the inaugural flights and joined an opening ceremony on March 18 with members of the Haitian community.
“We remain amazed at the persistence of the Sunrise staff and crew to keep Haiti connected to the world despite such difficult conditions. It was a special morning filled with warmth and joy.”

From Haitian government officials traveling to critical meetings to family members reuniting with their loved ones, travel connections remain essential. With routes now operating from Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Boston, we are encouraged by the determination of those working to keep Haiti connected to the world.
Brava to the Sunrise crew!
