SOIL is honored to be featured in IDBLab’s  article, "The Success Story of the Outcomes for Change Fund", authored by Jean Emmanuel Desmornes, Senior Private Sector Development Specialist at IDB Lab.  This article highlights SOIL’s participation as an implementing partner of IDB Lab's Outcomes for Change Fund (OCF) in Haiti.

Our collaboration with IDBLab has been pivotal in scaling SOIL’s EkoLakay sanitation and waste treatment service, enabling the provision of a safe, dignified, and climate-resilient sanitation solution to underserved vulnerable communities in northern Haiti. Leveraging the OCF's innovative outcomes-based financing model, SOIL has significantly expanded its operational capacity–achieving an increase in average monthly household installations from 51 to 134, and improving access to safely managed sanitation by over 25% in targeted service areas.

We're grateful to IDB Lab, and the many other partners whose support has been integral to the success of this transformative initiative. Their engagement has not only amplified our impact but also set a precedent for delivering effective aid globally.

As we continue into this next phase of program expansion–aiming to reach over 4,000 households–SOIL remains firmly committed to advancing sustainable sanitation solutions that safeguard public health, promote dignity, and contribute to environmental restoration across Haiti.
